Honor Matt's Memory and Family

Dear Friends and Community Members,

My name is Sally, I was Matt's neighbor for many years, and his older boys are like family to me, and it breaks my heart to write this message.

On Monday, December 16, 2024, at approximately 2:40 PM, a devastating fire broke out at Matt and Megan's home. Matt was outside when the blaze began, and without hesitation, he ran into the burning house to save his family. In this tragic event, Megan and their three children were able to escape, but Matt was not as fortunate, and he lost his life. It’s hard to grasp the magnitude of this loss, not just for his immediate family but for all those who knew and loved him.

A heartbreaking situation, we are organizing a fundraiser to assist with Matt's funeral expenses. Our goal is to ensure that he receives the dignified farewell he deserves. Additionally, any funds raised beyond these expenses will be dedicated to securing the futures of Matt's five children—Jaylen, Elijah, Darius, Quinton, and Quinn.
