iMBY Storage Project
Donation protected
The mission of the iMBY Storage Project is to relieve some of the burden of being on the streets by providing a space for the unhoused to store their belongings via a decentralized network of storage options.
We have successfully launched our pilot program of five storage locations around Albuquerque, with iMBY volunteers throughout the city graciously allowing their allied businesses, organizations, faith-based institutions, and homes to be used as iMBY storage spots for our unhoused neighbors. Our next goal is to significantly increase the availability of storage for our unhoused neighbors.
The money we raise through this fundraiser will be used to create as many as 15 more storage locations for our unhoused brothers and sisters around the Albuquerque metro area by the end of 2025. We will purchase and brand 15 heavy-duty storage units as well as industrial locks to secure each unit. The revenue will also be used for outreach, design materials, and additional administrative costs.
We are honored to have recently been awarded an Awesome Foundation grant!
