Monday, September 30, Jaden worked out and wanted to take a ride before meeting a friend for dinner because it was such a beautiful evening and sunset. Another motorist swerved from the far right lane and he and Jaden collided in the far left lane. We are not aware of the other driver’s motives or intentions, but we can say for sure

that he did not even stop to render aid or check in on Jaden as he stopped to look at his vehicle several meters down the road. Two other motorists ran to his aid. The first one there was a precious lady who immediately asked Jaden if she could pray for him while they waited for the ambulance.

The rest is a blur. No parent wants to receive a call from a paramedic who states they are transporting your child in an ambulance to the hospital because they were in a motorcycle accident.

Jaden has road rash on all parts of his body except his head and belly. He broke his leg right above his ankle and tore some ligaments in his ankle/foot. He has surgery Monday, Oct. 7th for those injuries.

Jaden requires help doing everything, even feeding him since he can’t bend his arms, possibly more surgery in his arm once his road rash there heals (you can’t have surgery when there is no skin left to suture things shut), he has wound care several times a week, and home health care will be helping some after surgery but it is super expensive. I am a sped teacher, am also finishing up my last semester of grad school, and with my days of PTO ending soon, upcoming paychecks that will be smaller, and the insurance not covering enough for us to tackle even appointments at the moment, we could really use some help to get us through this hard time. We are so blessed that God protected Jaden from what easily could have been his last day and He has blessed us all with more time together for Jaden to fulfill God’s purpose for his life. So many Godly men and women have already been sprinkled strategically in our path since this horrible accident and we all know that comes from above. What a blessing each day is with our children! God is so good… ALWAYS! Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, and for the many ways God has led you to help us. A simple thank you will never be enough.
