Donate to John Johnson's Funeral Costs

Dear family, friends, and kind hearted strangers,

My name is Simone and I am reaching out on behalf of my uncle, John 'Wesley' Johnson and the Johnson family. During this difficult time; we are humbly asking for your compassion, support, and generosity.

John is a beloved father, brother, uncle, friend, and father figure to many who has dedicated his life to helping others. As a drug and alcohol councilor he took great pride in helping those struggling with addiction find their way back to sobriety. As a director working to provide support and services to people with developmental disabilities, he delighted in helping them live full and robust lives, with as much independence as possible.

At the beginning of October we were told my uncle John had 2 different types of cancer, one in his lungs and another in his liver that had spread throughout his entire body. Shortly after he began cancer hormone therapy and his health began to quickly deteriorate. Which brings us to today, where he is currently in hospice care at Ohio State Medical Center. They are doing all they can to make sure he is comfortable during this transition, which can come any day now.

It is so incredibly devastating to the family to lose him so quickly, especially this close to the holidays. The family is asking for your help to cover funeral and memorial cost. We hope you will donate what ever you can, so that we can lay our loved one to rest.
