Donate to Johnny Smith's Medical and Living Expenses

Hello family and friends,

My Uncle John (Johnny) Smith needs our help. He had a complete tear of his right achilles tendon. After long delays navigating the medical system, he finally had surgery to reattach his tendon. This is a 4-6 month recovery with physical therapy included. Unfortunately, my uncle has expired his only income through FMLA and his employer doesn't offer short term disability. He is temporarily without a source of income as he can't work until he makes a full recovery. He has applied for SSDI and EBT but it could take months to activate. Both my Uncle and my Aunt have also looked into food banks! I am looking into helping them try to find local churches and organizations that will help with rent, utilities, and bills!

Bills are starting to pile up and rent is due. They are surviving on his wife, my Aunt Dawn’s, income. Unfortunately this is just enough to pay a few bills and essentials (food, toiletries, etc). My Aunt and Uncle just need to make enough to pay rent, utilities and medical bills for a few months. They are at risk of being evicted.

Rent is $1,200 per month.
