The Story So Far

Hi. Thank you all so much. The last 10 years have felt grueling at times, but your generosity is one of the most profound experiences of my life, and contributes greatly to my healing.

The way a person's body responds to chemo is a funny thing. It varies widely and can worsen over the time that passes since treatment. In short, my body is damaged. The increasing severity of the symptoms of chemo survival, neuropathy, asthma, and other health issues, I can't return to the fields I worked in and pursue work from home with little luck. This has been the case for over 2 years now, and will continue into the future. I'm trying to establish that I can secure housing in the event that I lose where I live now, as well as resources for utilities. There are so few options for any affordable housing anywhere that I'm genuinely terrified of what happens if I'm left in the cold. I spent a good stretch of time homeless prior to cancer and i never want to be in that situation again. I'm attempting to raise further funds towards that goal. Homelessness sucks and I feel badly asking after already asking so much of my friends. I don't want to live on a wire and can't change that myself. I can't work and am permanently disabled. I need help. Thank you.

Good morning and hello. Everyone has been awesome. Thank you so much for all your time and generosity. Unbelievably, this fundraiser has come within $1,040 of achieving its goal for securing stability. I think that maybe after this update I'll chill on their frequency going forward, though the fundraiser will continue to be active. The outpouring of support continues to be profoundly meaningful to me. I may have fallen short of my goal for now, but, you know, you hold your head up, face reality, rejoice in your friends, and do the best you can, right? Thank you so much.
