Katherine Driver’s Courageous Battle with Cancer

Katie Finn (Driver) is a 44-year-old single mother to three. Katie had just begun a new job and was not past her 90 probationary period. She became sick with cold-like symptoms that landed her in the doctor's office. At this doctor's visit, Katie's bloodwork came back very abnormal, so much so that the doctor had her go immediately to the emergency room. Once at the hospital, it was determined that Katie may have leukemia. She was sent to the University of Cincinnati Blood Cancer Healing Center for further testing. It was determined after this testing that Katie has AML leukemia. Katie has been hospitalized ever since and has started chemotherapy. She will be hospitalized for at least 28 days since the start of her chemotherapy. This diagnosis has been tough on the children and on Katie. She has remained positive and has not asked for a thing. I know being a single mom is challenging, but having to be a single mom in this circumstance adds to the everyday challenges. My goal is to help Katie feel at ease about her financial situation until she can work again. With the holidays right around the corner, I know that any amount will help the family make ends meet while Katie continues her courageous fight.
