Hello, this fundraiser is a last resort. I'm humiliated to even have to ask but desperate times cause for desperate measures. My car was totaled by a Dodge Ram pickup truck on 7/17/24. It was declared a total loss. A few minutes after leaving work, and I was suddenly stranded without a car on the side of the road. The insurance company gave me 17 days with a rental. The check for my car went directly to my car loan, so I was given $0 towards a new vehicle and in order to pull a new loan the loan companies are making me pay off the $6k balance and put down a hefty down payment. I had to surrender the rental as I have exhausted my funds to keep it. My commute to work and to bring my children to school is an hour. The Ubers alone to get to and from work would be astronomical and I cannot bring my children to and from school with an Uber. This has caused me to sink into a serious depression from the stress and panic of the situation. A guy who admitted he wasn't looking stole my car from me. I am a single mother of three children and also fear loosing my job. This is very humbling and I hope not inappropriate to have to ask but really I'm doing it for my children. Funds can even be used for a rental until I'm able to get a car. Thank you.
