Donate to Keep the Melodies Flowing: A Cello for Touring

In the spirit of resolutions and giving, I want to make a big creative step in the new year.
It has always been my goal to replace the acoustic guitar with the cello. Cello is my heart instrument and we (the cello and me) have been figuring out a set of my songs together.
But! Traveling with a cello is not easy. And my beloved cello is emotionally priceless, but financially nearly irreplaceable for me. I’ve had it for over half my life. (Long story short, my mother had purchased a learning cello for me when we lived on the Navajo Reservation. It was already out of our single-parent home budget and then it got stuck on the boat coming through customs. Some sort of worm has wriggled its way on board. So I was given a cello five times the prices as a consolation by the company, because it’s what they had in stock.)
So! I need a tour cello. I’m thinking a 3/4 size might be brilliant for traveling. Just a student cello. Nothing so expensive and dear that it’s a travesty if it is harmed on tour.
(If you happen to have one languishing in a closet - even better...)
But! Between a travel case and a cello, I’m looking at upwards of $2000. And I simply don’t have it. Betwixt and between living costs, medical costs, fence repairs, there’s nothing left for a new instrument. I’m hoping y’all could help me out. If all of my followers contributed .50 cents, you’d see me at shows with a cello in no time.
Thank you for your generosity.
Thank you for your presence.
Thank you for your hearts.
Thank you for always fueling my art.
