T.R. Miller High School's sophomore Ken Lett suffered paralysis after breaking his neck fielding the football game's opening kickoff on September 27th. After the tackle, he hit the ground hard fracturing his C4 and C5 vertebra.
Since his accident, Ken has worked so hard on recovery at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. While at the Center, Ken made an impact on everyone he met - he was named the mayor of the fourth floor and has helped the Shepherd Center by starring in a film and documentary about the hospital and rehab process. A beloved family in Brewton, AL, Ken's mother is the Assistant Principal at the middle school. As she says, "Ken is driven. Ken will work hard all day with the Shepherd Center staff and then head to the weight room." He is driven. Red ribbons covered his small home town as he finally came home in January.
The Lett's still have a long road ahead of them. Please consider supporting them with a donation today. Any amount you can give goes a long day. Donations will go towards covering medical expenses, equipment, and long term at-home support. I hope you will also consider sharing this page with the people you know. Thank you!
