Khuloud and her family once lived a comfortable life in northern Gaza with her three sons and daughter. We have four children. The youngest is my daughter Jouri, who is 3 years old. Aboud is 8, Bahaa is 12, and Ahmed is the oldest at 15. We are also caring for a cat we found without a shelter. They enjoyed peace and security until the war shattered their world, destroying everything beautiful. The war took the lives of my sister-in-law, her children, and her husband. We were forced to flee south to Rafah, enduring immense hardship, from the lack of food and water to finding a place to live. I would walk long distances to fetch water for my children, with my husband and kids helping however they could.

Our expenses spiraled beyond expectation when my husband lost his job, leaving us with no income or support. On top of everything, I developed a serious health condition—uterine prolapse, second degree, and endometrial issues—that changed my life. Many understand the toll of this condition: constant bleeding for most of the month, severe fatigue, and low iron levels that drain my energy, leaving me too weak to stand or work. There's no treatment for my condition in Gaza except for surgery, which is unavailable here.

This is why I’ve started fundraising—hoping for the chance to travel abroad for treatment and cover my family’s basic needs, including clothes, food, and personal items. My children deserve to eat and drink like children everywhere. My family and I are in desperate need to improve our circumstances and survive this ordeal.

Since fleeing from the north, we’ve moved from Rafah to Khan Younis, and now we’re in Deir al-Balah, unsure of what tomorrow holds. Please, donate to support my family and me as we struggle to find hope amid an uncertain future.
