Kristin’s Recovery and Well-being

Grit. Determination. Hard work. Intelligence. Dedication. Passion. Loyalty. Warmth. Laughter. Lawyer. Small business owner. Pig farmer. Wife. Mother. Daughter. Friend. There are so many words to describe the beauty and joy that is Kristin Aquino-Pham.
But Kristin, like every human being, has limits and fights private battles. Last Saturday, Kristin tried to commit suicide by taking two bottles of pills. After Chris realized what she had done, he called 911. She was placed under a 1013 order and taken away by EMTs and police. She then spent 24 hours in the ER, and 5 horrible days in a mental hospital. She was discharged with medication and a plan to attend an intense outpatient program at a private facility. The cost of the ambulance transport, medical care, and outpatient treatment will be at least $50K.
Kristin is uninsured; Chris is a small business owner who doesn’t have capacity to carry the financial load of treatment along with the family finances. They need assistance at this critical time.
We are asking for your help. If you are able, please consider investing in a friend who has given so much, who has always gone above and beyond for everyone in her circle and her community, and who has always had the desire and passion to pour herself into others. Even while a patient in the mental hospital this past week, struggling with her own depression, she connected with the other patients (they flocked to her because she was so “maternal”) and helped one patient find emergency housing.
With your contribution, Kristin will receive the mental health treatment she needs to continue being the best version of herself, for the benefit of her husband, children, family, friends, and all of us who cross paths with her.
