On February 1, the first day of Lunar New Year, our Kume Spa was tragically the location of a workplace act of violence. We have been able to facilitate crisis support for our Kume family, be by the surviving injured victim, Joe's, side, and prepare for a proper spiritual funeral for the deceased member of our work family. We are committed to taking care of our own, but with the gravity of this tragedy, it has become apparent that we could use some additional support. These past two years have taken a financial toll on our business and many of you have reached out to us asking how you can help support us during these dark and difficult times. The community’s financial support will hep with:

-Lost wages for staff during our closure

-Immediate funeral expenses

-Long-term grief counseling and trauma therapy

-Repairing the spa so it can return to a peaceful sanctuary for our community
