Support for Los Angeles Photographers Impacted by Fires.
photo l.a. and LENSCRATCH join forces to help
In recent days, we’ve witnessed the heartbreaking devastation of neighborhoods across Los Angeles—communities that many photographers call home—destroyed by an unprecedented Santa Ana wind-driven fire event.
Our urgent goal is to raise $300,000 to provide direct support to photographers who have lost their homes, studios and personal property that is not covered by FEMA , in the Eaton, Palisades, Sunset, and other fires in the Los Angeles area. We know many of you are looking for ways to make a direct and meaningful impact.
For over 30 years, photo l.a. has supported the photography and arts community. LENSCRATCH has been helping photographers for over 18 years internationally. We look forward to supporting the community during this difficult time, working with you to this end. We are asking for support from photographers, galleries, and collectors both near and far from Los Angeles. Our local community is already overwhelmed by the devastation all around them. We hope that readers far from here will also respond.
To achieve this goal, we are gathering information from multiple sources to identify photographers/artists in need. If you have experienced severe damage or a total loss of your home, studio, and need to replace essential personal property not covered by FEMA, please reach out to us.
We are committed to distributing funds and contributions to those most affected by these fires, prioritizing based on need. Together, we can help rebuild and support the photographers who are vital to our creative community.
