Hi Friends & Family and those who love and support Scott & LaShelle,

 

On the evening of January 12th, a severe car accident forever changed LaShelle's life and that of her husband Scott. LaShelle, renowned for her boldness, strength, and independence, now confronts a significant challenge: a long recovery from extensive injuries. I had the honor of ordaining LaShelle and Scott's wedding. Even then, I recognized LaShelle's incredible strength and resolve; she is a force to be reckoned with. I’ve know LaShelle close to 14 years and her heart is pure & proud. She’s always the first to support those around her, donate to any cause, and spread her love to anything she touches.

 

During her 12 day hospital stay on the trauma unit, LaShelle faced the reality of broken hips, multiple broken ribs, a broken scapula, pelvis, and finger, as well as two small fractures in her neck… phew! Her recovery journey includes a minimum two-week rehabilitation stint (which she just started) and an estimated 4 to 6 months away from work. As a dedicated hair stylist, the impact of this accident on her career remains uncertain, yet her spirit remains invincible. As you all know, her career and clients are her life force.

 

LaShelle's determination and courage shine through as she takes on the daunting task of relearning to walk. This journey is proof of her unwavering attitude and the support of her husband Scott, who, despite suffering minor injuries, is committed to aiding her recovery. Their bond and mutual support during this time are a source of inspiration.

 

However, they face the added challenge of financial strain. Their car was totaled in the accident, which is now financially underwater. This, coupled with LaShelle's income loss and mounting medical expenses, has created a considerable financial burden.
