The Gray Matters Collective: Military Chapter feels passionately about mental health and taking care of our brothers and sisters far and wide. After hearing of the devastation of Hurricane Helene, and now Hurricane Milton, we understand that mental health will be deeply impacted by all of these tragic events. People have seen and experienced horrific things that are beyond comprehension, they need support to keep going and complete the mission because they know there are so many impacted.
We have chosen to step up and fundraise for those who are boots on the ground, fighting the good fight and taking care of their neighbors sun up to sun down. Our goal is to lift others up in their time of need, letting them know we have their six during such uncertain times. We have chosen a nonprofit organization that is military led, Team Rubicon, who is currently out there putting in the endless hours of work across multiple states. Jake Wood, who put Team Rubicon together, is native to the QC area. These volunteers are mostly veterans who simply want to give back to those who can’t help themselves. Still taking an oath to protect this country! Our objective is to provide financial assistance to lessen the burden for those who has lost so much already, and to show our support in mental health awareness.
If you could find it in your heart to donate, please give what you can - even if it’s $1!! Your impact will carry on, and those receiving the help they so desperately need will never forget the love that they felt in their time of need.
Let’s stand united and take care of those hurting in our country.
