11 years ago, at only 21 years old, Lindy Martin (Quayle) was diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a very rare cancer. She went through chemo and radiation treatment that successfully shrunk her inoperable tumor.
In her time following treatment, she married Jeff Martin and started a career as a dental assistant. Lindy and Jeff also spent time caring for Lindy’s mom, Linda, as she went through her own battle with cancer. After many ups and downs with infertility and IVF, the Martins joyfully welcomed their beautiful daughter Maeve in September of 2021, giving their fur baby Nola a human sibling. Lindy currently works for 906 Dentistry, and the Martins own part of Pineshears Tree Service.
In 2022, the Martins got the devastating news that Lindy’s cancer spread to other sinus cavities in her head and to the temporal lobe in her brain. She underwent intense radiation and eventually lost her left eye.
Last week, Lindy had a stroke. She was airlifted to Mayo Clinic where she underwent extensive tests. A large clot was found behind her left eye in her carotid artery. Due to her predisposition to nosebleeds, she is unable to be on blood thinners. It is unknown when Lindy will be able to return to work. Please consider donating to this young, hardworking family to offset their medical costs and take away some financial stress while Lindy is out of work. Lindy’s fight continues.
