Donate to Mackenzie's Fight Against Cancer

Hello Everyone!

If you follow my sister, Mackenzie, you know that she has been bravely battling colorectal cancer. She was diagnosed in November after months of advocating for herself and voicing her health concerns to several doctors. After finally being referred to a GI specialist and undergoing bloodwork, an endoscopy, and a colonoscopy, she was officially diagnosed with Colorectal Cancer and underwent surgery to remove a tumor, surrounding lymph nodes, appendix and a few inches of her lower intestine. Needless to say, it was a painful surgery and even more painful recovery. Being the brave, strong and amazing person that she is, she pushed through everything with positivity and grace.

Post-surgery she was officially diagnosed at Stage 3 because of the aggressive nature of the cancer. Although there were no signs that the cancer spread beyond what was removed during surgery, Mackenzie will be receiving 6 months of precautionary chemotherapy.

On top of ongoing medical bills, missed work and caring for two young children, the light at the end of the tunnel still seems very far away.
