Hi! I'm Maeve Moon and I need your help with medical expenses.

A little over 2 weeks ago, I went to the hospital with abdominal pain. At the ER, I learned that I had a bowel perforation due to diverticulitis (pockets or sacs that line the intestinal wall). The damage was so bad that I needed surgery.

I ended up having an ostomy port installed, which means I poop in a bag on my stomach right now. In 3 months, hopefully, after I have healed up enough, my doctor will perform a second surgery to reconnect my intestines and resume normal bodily function.

At this time, I am recovering from abdominal surgery. I am weak, tired, and in a fair bit of pain. Some of this will get better over the next 3 months, but what will not change is the amount of medical supplies I need. I am a Type 1 Diabetic, which complicates my needs somewhat. Luckily, most of my surgery and some supplies are covered under my insurance. This fundraiser is to cover the things that are not, like medical supplies, food for my dietary restrictions, physical therapy, and counselling. I am asking for help paying for medical bills, supplies, and items to make my recovery easier.
