Meet Maggie and Amber. Two of the best humans I know. They married in the spring of 2024 after a long committed courtship. They have worked for years to save for a home and recently became proud homeowners in the suburbs of Columbus, OH. The dream of starting a family has arrived; however, the financial burden of fertility treatment is vast and daunting.

Amber has dedicated her career to serving the community through her role as a police officer and LGTBQ liaison. Maggie works for her community in communications and outreach. Their love for their family, friends and pets is immeasurable.

I am speaking from experience that when someone is in need, they do not ask how to help, they simply find ways to help. Their readiness to help is second nature, a selfless characteristic that this world could use more of. They dream of starting a family together, a journey that has been fraught with challenges. As a lesbian couple, their path to parenthood isn't straightforward. Current financial obstacles and lack of insurance support have tainted a dream that many of us are able to achieve without intervention. The care plan that has been recommended by doctors is estimated to be $55,000 for the best chance of success.
