Donate to My Brother John Michael Spanton’s Healing Journey

My brother came to Iowa a week ago because he was not feeling well mentally and emotionally. He was put on heavy doses of medication, and it completely spun him out. He returned to CA on Sunday, and Monday evening, he shot himself. He is in the Intensive Care Unit at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Long Beach, CA. The doctor said it is a miracle he is alive. He is still heavily sedated but can respond and, luckily, can move all extremities.

We are so grateful for the amazing care from the Drs and nurses and the gift of more time with an amazing soul.

John is a stellar human, with a deep love for humanity and desire to help the homeless. He loves his family, is caring, kind, intelligent, humorous and hard working. He has been a teacher for over 15 years. His heart is pure and we are blessed he is part of our family.

We are asking for any support so he can focus on resting and recovering, not on medical bills and getting back to work. Please pray in addition to whatever help you can provide.
