Hello,

My name is Ciara Vasquez-Schreiber and I currently am the Assistant Store Manager at the South Lake Union Goodwill in Seattle. I am raising money for one of my employees, Ned (Edward Pearce). Ned is one of my "Material Handlers" who works in our production/donations and is the person you see when you drop off your donations at Goodwill. Thanks to Ned, your donations get sorted, prepared for shipment, and sent out to be priced and repurposed. Due to our store closure, a lot of my employees were transferred to other stores, resigned, and unfortunately for Ned, losing their job. Ned is 80 years young, deals with various health issues which impact how long he can work at a time, and he takes public transportation, making it hard for him to travel long distances.

I am raising money for him so that he can not have to worry about his bills, getting groceries, or wondering if he will be able to make rent next month. Ned is by far the hardest working employee I have ever had in my 8 years of managing for different companies. He has been with Evergreen Goodwill of Seattle since January of 2022, is an Army Veteran, and is probably one of the most wholesome, humble, and amazing humans on planet earth.

This will be a complete surprise to him, as he does not know I am creating this for him. He is beyond deserving of this and I hope you all can see just a piece of that through his story. I would like to thank each and every one of you for just reading his story, but most of all, for donating to help Ned.
