April 21, 2025, at 10PM Neamiah Johnson’s life was tragically altered when he was shot outside his mother’s car while retrieving his bookbag. A bright and promising student at Hialeah Miami Lakes High School, Neamiah had big dreams of graduating and enlisting in the marines to serve his country. Unfortunately, this dream was shattered when he became a victim of mistaken identity.
The shooting left Neamiah with severe injuries, and the doctors have informed the family that he will be paralyzed from the waist down. As Neamiah faces the difficult reality of adapting to a new life, his family is doing everything they can to provide him with the love, support, and resources he needs. This will be a long road to recovery as he has completed one surgery and undergoing another one later this week at Jackson Memorial Trauma unit.
Neamiah recovery and long-term care will require extensive medical equipment, therapies, and home modifications to ensure he can live as independently as possible. His family is working hard to meet these needs, but the financial Part will be very costly That’s why we’re reaching out to the community for help. He is a straight A student , loveable respectful and a overall great kid
Help will be needed with his care,
Medical Equipment: Wheelchairs, hospital beds, mobility aids, and other devices to support Neamiah daily needs.
Home Modifications: Ramps, bathroom adjustments, and other necessary changes to make his home more accessible.
Physical Therapy: Ongoing therapy to help him regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Emotional and Psychological Support: Counseling and support to help Neamiah cope with the trauma and emotional toll of his injury.
Neamiah dreams of becoming a Marine may have been shattered, but with your support, we can help him rebuild his future. Your generosity will provide him with the tools he needs to navigate this challenging chapter and continue pursuing his goals, even if they look different than he once imagined
