Peaches' Medical Care Fund
Donation protected
Hello. I’m helping my friend Lori Mages set up a care fund for her beautiful kitty, Peaches. Peaches is a sweet 3-year-old gray tabby who was adopted by Lori earlier this year. She recently found out that Peaches is very sick. The vet is pretty certain she has lymphosarcoma but won’t know for sure unless they do more testing. To make matters worse, she has other issues. Per the vet:
“Peaches has wall thickening associated with her intestines, with loss of the normal layers. Additionally, she has many enlarged lymph nodes throughout her abdomen. Due to the initial concern for cancer, we discussed and moved forward with needle samples of the wall thickening. We submitted this and the returning answer was a type of inflammation called pyogranulomatous inflammation. While underlying cancer is still certainly a possibility, this type of inflammation is most commonly seen with FIP or fungal disease, such as histoplasmosis. We submitted tests to be able to rule these diagnoses in or out and will have results back in the coming days to week.”
The cost of the tests already performed is $6,300. Depending on test results, there will be additional costs involved that could be up to another $5,000.
Please help my dear friend Lori help Peaches. Lori is on a fixed income and cannot pay for these high vet bills.
All of my love,
Jennifer
