Hello, I'm Penny Boyer. Thanks to a botched stomach procedure and hernia repair, where the doctor damaged the vagus nerve in my stomach and esophagus, I have become very ill.

After 7 doctors in my home town not being able to help, I found a doctor at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, that has been able to help.

But being on disability, I can't come up with the funds to get there.

So, I have to do a fundraiser to raise the funds needed.

Following are some of the chronic illnesses I have:

Gastroparesis, also called delayed gastric emptying, is a disorder that slows or stops the movement of food from your stomach to your small intestine, even though there is no blockage in the stomach or intestines.

Esophageal Dysmotility causes problems such as difficulty swallowing, heartburn, choking on food, Dysphagia and chest pain.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a common, chronic digestive system condition that affects the stomach and intestines.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a chronic digestive disorder that occurs when stomach contents flow back up into the esophagus. This happens when the muscle at the end of the esophagus doesn't close properly, allowing stomach acid to irritate the esophagus.

Malnutrition lack of proper nutrition, caused by not having enough to eat, not eating enough of the right things, or being unable to use the food that one does eat.

Malabsorption is a condition that occurs when the body has difficulty absorbing nutrients from food. It can affect the digestion or absorption of a single nutrient, or multiple nutrients, depending on the cause.

Chronic diarrhea is defined as having three or more loose stools in a 24-hour period for at least four weeks. The stools can be watery, fatty, or inflammatory. Symptoms may be constant or come and go.

Chronic nausea, or constant nausea, is nausea that lasts longer than a month and can come and go or be nearly constant.

Chronic pain syndrome (CPS) is a poorly defined condition that affects about 25% of people with chronic pain. It's characterized by pain that lasts for more than three months, and can be caused by a number of factors, including injuries, illnesses, and underlying chronic conditions.

These are just a few of medical issues I have.

Angel Flight provides my flight to and from Baltimore.

I need the funds for the Airbnb, Uber ground transportation, co-pays for the tests I will be having, food, and boarding for my dogs.

I will go Aug. 25 - 31.
