Pigs in Paradise was founded after two rescue pigs multiplied into 16 one night during Covid. We knew we couldn’t afford to keep them all so we started our search to find a farm. However, after searching and doing lots of research we realised that farms aren’t always a happy place for pigs as many pigs are suffering from poor conditions, malnutrition and neglect. Many pigs were prematurely slaughtered as farmers could not afford to maintain them during covid.

We love our pigs too much for them to endure that lifestyle so we opted to keep all the pigs and began to rescue more. Pigs in Paradise has a goal to build a sanctuary for all animals with a keen focus on pigs. It is our intent for the pigs to have a home where they can live a happy and healthy life. We also aim to use the sanctuary to educate children and adults on how to properly care for animals.

We have been supporting the pigs financially by hosting tours and educating individuals on how intelligent and beneficial pigs are to us as humans. After 1.5 years, we have successfully purchased land and began construction. However, we are still in need of your support as we are still very far from our end goal.

Through rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary, our goal is to keep our pigs happy, healthy, safe, and enriched to live out their natural lives. We hope to one day open the sanctuary to the public and reach the hearts of other like minded animal lovers.
