Dear Friends,

My name is Sharlene McKinley Bund, and Sugars Bridge Farm (sugarsbridgefarm.com) is my passion. I have poured my heart and soul into nurturing this farm, fostering community involvement and ensuring a safe and loving home for our animals.

I am reaching out with an urgent request for your support to secure the future of Sugars Bridge Farm and our cherished Camp Barnyard. Located in beautiful Chester County, Pennsylvania, our 15-acre 1790 Historic Chester County Farm is a beacon of joy, education and community spirit.

Sugars Bridge Farm is home to a delightful menagerie, including alpacas, a llama, chickens, ducks and dogs. Our farm-to-fashion practices - spinning our alpaca/llama fiber into yarn, and selling alpaca wear and products - and our dedication to agricultural education have made us a beloved destination for families, schools and nature enthusiasts.

Since 2021, Camp Barnyard has become our flagship operation, providing children aged 6-12 with a unique, enriching summer camp experience. Here, young minds grow, friendships blossom and lifelong memories are created. The camp not only enriches the lives of these children but also secures jobs for our dedicated counselors and staff, who are passionate about making a difference.

Camp Barnyard and Sugars Bridge Farm are facing significant challenge. The co-owner of the Farm is desiring to develop the property into a different direction. A direction that will force 300 + local families annually to be denied a Farm Camp Experience next summer and for many more summers to come.

Your generous donation will go directly towards securing the long term future of our farm, maintaining the coveted summer camp for children, preserving summer youth jobs, ensuring the well-being of our animals and developing and expanding our camp program so that EVEN more children will have access to what was so successfully started in 2021
