Donate to Provide Shelter and Food for Typhoon Victims
Tax deductible
In Early September 2024, super Typhoon Yagi battered Southeast Asia, causing massive floods, landslides, and leaving thousands of people without homes. Many families lost loved ones. More than 230,000 homes were damaged and over 691,895 acres of crops were destroyed. Families are in dire need of resources in northern Vietnam. The most important needs right now are temporary shelters, food, and medicine as people cope with the aftermath of this powerful storm. Hmong International Mission, a committee under the Hmong Mission Society, an RSO organization of the LCMS, is working with local leaders and pastors in Vietnam to bring help to those who are impacted by Typhoon Yagi.
Please pray for those families who are suffering from the typhoon and consider financially supporting them. Many of them have little to no financial resources and are left in ruins by the loss of their houses and for some, the loss of family members. In collaboration with the local team in Vietnam, we will raise funds to purchase the materials they need to make temporary shelters and food for the families to alleviate the suffering and bring hope to the families. The local teams will travel to the unreachable areas where they are impacted to ensure families receive the materials and food.
Thank you for your support and may you be a blessing to those who are in need.
