Donate to Restore Savannah's Home and Peach's Health

Hi! I’m Savannah- a lifetime resident of Louisville and this area. On July 18, my cat got into my venting system and travelled through the pipes beneath my house.
She cried for help and I called the Anchorage Fire Department. Over the course of the day, 15 firefighters, the battalion chief, and an HVAC specialist came to try to rescue her. Ultimately, I was told that if they didn’t dig up my flooring and homes foundation (which was apparently FOUR slabs on top of one another) and then cut into my pipe system, she would die down there. It was an easy decision. I love my cat and she was counting on me to help her.
After 11 grueling hours for the fire department and somewhere between 13-24 hours in the walls and floor of the house, Peach Cobbler has been saved.
Now, I have to replace my flooring, some of my HVAC system, my slab foundation, some pipes, and pay for subsequent vet bills. As a teacher and single mom, I don’t have that kind of income unfortunately. But I would do it all again to save Peach Cobbler, who is recovering well.
If you could help me, Peach and I would so appreciate it.
Thank you!
