Donate to Reunite the Weaver Family

This GoFundMe is being created on behalf of Katie and Gabe Weaver in an effort to offset costs from numerous hospitalizations for both Katie and their fur baby, Logan. Their uphill battle started in February 2022, five days after their precious daughter, Remielle (Remi), was born. Katie developed dangerously high blood pressure amongst other symptoms and was rushed back to the hospital where she would stay over the next two weeks. She diagnosed with aggressive postpartum preeclampsia and was separated from Remi under doctor’s orders. During this time Gabe had to take personal unpaid leave from work to help care for his newborn daughter and wife as medical bills continued to climb.

 

The Weaver family was struck with another devastating (and expensive) family emergency last week when their youngest dog, Logan, mysteriously lost the use of his back legs. He was immediately admitted to an animal hospital in hopes of finding answers and quick treatment- none of which have been successful so far. Katie and Gabe have been tirelessly following directions of various vets and specialists that continue to be added to Logan‘s mystery case while medications, treatments, and bills continue to stack on top of each other for his care. He is currently being evaluated for a myriad of autoimmune diseases and has not left the hospital since being admitted. Throughout this time Logan has continued to be in good spirits despite being confined to the floor of a kennel since he has no range of motion or ability to stand independently. He is 195 lbs of pure sweetness and continues to capture the hearts of everyone he meets. He has so much life left to live at only 3.5 years old and Katie and Gabe are trying to stay optimistic, but Logan must remain in the hospital under 24/7 care because they cannot physically manage him on their own while taking care of their newborn. The family is devastated watching Logan suffer alone as the waiting game continues and the fees grow.
