The time has finally come! I feel so incredibly fortunate to be in communication with a surgeon team for a big and necessary gender-affirming procedure. The procedure is likely to take place sometime early next year.

Gender affirming surgery is a powerful and necessary step for many transgender individuals. Unfortunately, the cost can be prohibitive. The total expense of the procedure I'm pursuing is $9,300. However, additional expenses related to travel and recovery away from home will raise my total financial goal to $12,000. The funds raised in this campaign will go toward the total cost of the procedure, follow-up medical visits, travel expenses, post-op accommodations, and any additional costs related to my surgery and recovery. Any funds remaining apart from my medical needs will be donated to SQSH (St. Louis Queer Support & Healing).

I work full-time and have a regular wage. Because of this, I anticipate covering a significant portion of this procedure through savings and loans. Please donate as you’re able, but give to BIPOC and other queer community members before me. I have a steady, regular income and have a good enough credit score to secure a loan if needed.
