Donate to Save Aya's Family from Gaza's Crisis

Donation protected
I'm a NY resident fundraising for the cousin of my friend, Falestine, and her family, all of whom are currently in Gaza. Her name is Aya. Her story is written below in her words, underneath some pictures she sent me of her children. It also includes a fuller explanation of the goal of this gofundme; to fund her and her family's evacuation through Rafah crossing. Please read it, donate if you can, or share. I will be collecting funds and sending them to Aya, most likely through a payment app or international service, as gofundme doesn't allow fundraising directly to Palestine. Thank you.

I am Aya Abu Huda from Gaza. I stand before you as a person trying to support my family of 7. We are trying to survive under miserable conditions in tents in Al Mawasi in Souther Gaza. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza. No food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, oppression, helplessness, psychological pressure, doubts, and daily trauma due to the loss of loved ones. In Gaza, it is not just hunger, disease, and fear; it means actual death.

I was studying engineering at university and my dream was to graduate and get a job, but the war came and destroyed all of that as my university was completely bombed.

Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly and strongly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, by getting us out of Gaza. The situation in Gaza has become unbearable due to the slow death resulting from hunger, thirst, homelessness, the spread of diseases, and the continuous bombing since October 7th. Due to the continuous bombing in Gaza, we were displaced from our homes in Eastern Khan Younis. My family has been displaced three times. Currently, we live in a tent in Mawasi Khan Younis with my brothers, father, and mother, and unfortunately under very poor conditions. Lack of food, water, and toilets, and the weather is difficult to live in a thin plastic tent, and in every sense of the word, we do not have the basics of live.

The past months have been full of hell and horror. This war has been going on for too long, and our mental health and lives are constantly at risk. We have reached a stage where there is no hope anymore in Gaza and it is as if we are waiting for death. Even if a ceasefire is reached, the destruction in Gaza in all its forms cannot be quickly repaired.

To cross the border between Gaza and Egypt at "Rafah", our names must be on the crossing list (paid permit). The coordinators in Egypt, who are authorized to add my family's names to the list at the border, are asking us for between 7,000 and 8,000 dollars per person! They won't add names until we can prove we have the money ready.

Unfortunately, our house was completely destroyed, and I felt devastated and heartbroken to see my home destroyed, losing hope that my siblings will not be able to sleep in their home.

Please help me and my family get out of Gaza. Your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. I hope you share my story with your family and friends.

I will be forever grateful for your kind help in this difficult time.

Asking for help is not easy. A small donation from each person will save my family from death in Gaza. Together, your contribution means everything to us, and in these difficult times, your kindness is our greatest hope. We are so grateful for any help you can offer and thank you for your kindness and generosity in our time of need.
