Donate To Save Bibek's Life - Glioma Patient

Hello Kind Souls, We are the Nepalese Student Association (NSA) at the University of Georgia (UGA), Georgia. As a student organization, we work as a bridge between the university and students, faculty, staff, and their families. Today, we are reaching out to you to share the heartbreaking story of one of our own, Mr. Bibek Pangeni.

With great hopes and a better career Mr. Bibek Pangeni and his family arrived in the States in the Fall of 2022 to pursue his Ph.D. in the Department of Physics and Astronomy from the University of Georgia, Athens, GA. Earlier this year, Bibek and his wife flew back to the Bardiya district of Nepal to attend to their family and mourn the loss of their beloved mother who had been battling Parkinson’s disease for a long time. The family had not fully processed this tragedy when they were struck by another devastating blow. Just days before they were scheduled to return to the United States, Bibek was diagnosed with a third-stage glioma in the left frontal part of his brain. Upon his return to the states, Bibek was immediately admitted to the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, where he underwent surgery to remove 50% of the tumor. The tumor has been sent for further tests and to identify the course of treatment for the patient. Though the surgery was successful, Bibek's journey to recovery is far from over.

The family now faces a daunting financial burden. The cost of treatment for glioma is exorbitant, and the family is struggling to make ends meet. This is where you can come in. Bibek and his family need your help to ease the financial burden and ensure that he gets the treatment he needs to beat this disease.
