UPDATE 9/22

My boy is such a champ! His liver enzymes are coming down, his blood sugar is stable without intervention, albumin is still on low side, however it is slightly improved. He is in high spirits and the staff said he has been enjoying being pampered by all the girls today. He has return of function to his bowels, and the ileus has seemed to be resolved. There is HIGH potential my boy will get to come home tomorrow evening ❤️ we still have a very long road ahead of us. With lots of follow ups, possible surgery, lots of medications to help support the liver while it regenerates. It’s going to be a long road- but he is determined. I’m so grateful for all of you and your support ❤️ please continue to keep us in your thoughts and share the gofund me if you can!

My sweet Henry is at WSU in their ICU currently. It’s been discovered that he has two congenital liver shunts. Luckily, because the shunts are congenital, they are operable. Unluckily, the surgery is estimated at $10,000. This boy is incredibly strong and has already overcome so much. His care team said they have never seen someone make it past two years old without having extreme symptoms such as seizures and jaundice. Somehow, my boy has made it to 7 without ever skipping a beat. This is a testament to how strong he is, or if you know him, how obsessed he is with me ❤️. On top of the surgery fees, we are also faced with hospitalization fees, medications, etc. It has been extremely hard to create this GoFundMe, as asking for help like this isn’t easy for anyone I’m sure. But this boy is worth me stepping outside my comfort zone and asking for help ❤️ I’m grateful for the read, the prayers and good vibes, donations, and shares. Update ❤️ 9/21

Henry is plugging along, eating again, and whined all through the night (this means he is feels more normal as he is such an anxious boy without me).

He went on a walk and enjoyed the grass.

And as thoroughly enjoyed a grooming (he always loves the attention he gets while being pampered).

The team also said he is in really great spirits today ❤️
