Hosne Ara Alauddin, a 73-year-old mother and grandmother, has devoted her life to kindness, spirituality, and advocating for compassion toward all living beings. As a lifelong vegetarian and a source of love and strength in her community she has touched countless lives. Today, she is fighting for her life in the ICU, and we urgently need your support to help her on the path to recovery.

Her Medical Journey

On January 3, 2025, Hosne Ara was admitted to the hospital with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. She was diagnosed with sub-acute intestinal obstruction and underwent an exploratory laparotomy on January 10, during which the surgeons released adhesions and infarcted tissue in her intestines.

While the surgery was successful, she suffered a cardiac arrest immediately after the operation. She was revived after five minutes of CPR, but this traumatic event led to a cascade of life-threatening complications, including:

Right now, Hosne Ara's condition is critical. Along with complications such as pneumonia and a serious viral infection, her chronic kidney disease (CKD) is also nearing a dangerous stage of failure.

The combination of a fatal infection, pneumonia, and the toxic effects of her medications have also placed immense strain on her kidneys. She remains under close monitoring in the ICU, requiring advanced medical care to stabilize her condition and address these complications.
