Hello, My name is Cheyenne. I am from America and I am fundraising on behalf of my dear friend Fadi Abu Rida and his 7 year old son, Osaid, from Gaza.

Osaid was diagnosed with brain atrophy at 1 year old and has suffered with this from body pains and cramps, seizures and becoming lethargic due to this condition. Fadi was able to access treatment for Osaid from the time he was diagnosed and that kept Osaid stable and able to experience a pain free childhood. However, when the war began in October their access to treatment halted. Not having access to treatment caused Osaid to have daily intense seizures. The trauma of being surrounded by terror and not knowing what is happening inside your own body caused Osaid a lot of stress on his brain, causing life threatening cysts to develop.

They endured 164 days of unimaginable violence and terror before evacuating to Egypt only to discover that Osaids condition had worsened. Fadi has been working hard to raise awareness and afford consistent treatment for his sons condition but has been met with several hardships along the way. Fadi and his family have lost everything -- His first home in Gaza was destroyed, his first apartment in Egypt burned to the ground shortly after moving in and he now faces the burden of the cost of life saving surgery and treatment along with the costs of daily life for his family. Since evacuating, Fadi has not been granted a permit to work and is struggling to keep up with the ever growing list of expenses.

The situation remains time sensitive and everyday that Osaid is not able to access treatment, his condition worsens. Fadi is focused on maintaining a stable life for himself, his wife, and two children as well as affording the surgery and treatment that Osaid desperately and urgently needs.
