Donate to Save Raven's Life with Stem Cells

Raven was born a Type 1 diabetic. Over the years, her disease has worsened and caused her kidneys to diminish in function. She currently has stage 4 kidney disease and needs to go on the transplant list in order to stay alive in the near future.

Raven searched clinical studies for her diagnosis and found a promising treatment using stem cells being conducted by the Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately, by the time she found it, the study was closed to new participants.

The Mayo recently reached out and advised due to the success of the study for patients with her diagnosis and terminal illness, they were seeking approval from the FDA for 20 patients to receive these life-saving stem cells that have the capability of healing her kidneys. This would eliminate the need to go on the transplant list and ensure she doesn't deteriorate further while waiting potentially years for a match.

The Mayo has placed her as 7th on the list of 20 in terms of critical need. Her insurance will cover most except the cost of the stem cells, which will be a total of $15k.

The Mayo advised other patients were seeking crowd-sourced funding and to try this route.

Raven is an amazing human who has worked with animals, cared for her parents for years before they passed, and is a selfless, giving, loving woman.
