Donate to Scott Ewing's Kidney Transplant Journey

If you know the Ewing's you know that strong kidneys do NOT run in the family. While we have made it this far, we have recently arrived at a fork in the road. Some of you are aware that Scott Ewing, had his kidneys removed about two years ago. He has done the best he can to adjust to a new normal with dialysis and many other treatments. While dialysis has been a life saver it has come with many challenges and barriers making day to day living very complicated. In the last two years, dad has had to be admitted to the hospital for days at a time on more than a few occasions due to complications with dialysis treatment.
After many prayers, patience, and hope, he has been given an opportunity to have a kidney transplant from a live donor. We are so grateful to God for providing this opportunity. We know that God did not bring him this far to leave him now and this is where we are asking for support. This transplant will come with many doctor visits to and from Bend to Portland, long-term housing in Portland, follow up care and unpaid time off of work for him and the immediate family.
Dad is a man of few words, but loves with his whole heart. He is always willing to lend a helping hand but will NEVER ask for help himself. This is where YOU come in! Whether you can provide support financially, through prayer, or positive thoughts the Ewing family would greatly appreciate anything you can do to help dad.
Thank you in advance for considering, we will keep you updated on his recovery and medical status.
