Balut Survivor DUCKLINGS need CRITICAL Continuing Care $$$

9 Balut Survivor Ducklings are experiencing issues with their legs. We took the most critical one to the Vet today he wasn't very hopeful. This is no one's fault...except the people that hatched them. This was and still is a CRISIS situation.

We are hoping with the vet wrapping, continuing care and support, extra B vitamins, brewer's yeast, physical therapy, and LOTS of TLC we will start to see some improvements. The other 8, and baby "Piglet' (the name her foster mom gave her/him) , will be seeing the doctor this Wednesday. The bill for each baby is $200 per duckling just for the INITIAL VISITS.

We have almost 30 of the Balut ducklings in our care at the sanctuary right now. We need to hopefully have some volunteers to look after these angels on a daily basis for 3-5 hours/day. If you, or you know anyone, that wants to devote their time and love to the babies, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

The Balut babies are Miracles and we will fight to give them all that they need FOREVER.

In addition to these ducklings---Just last week we rescued 100 TURKEYS and Geese from a Hoarder Situation from the San Bernadino Animal Shelter last week. They are in their forever home now, as they are ALL BONDED to each other and so Happy! The turkeys alone eat at least 1 lb. of food per day each! $$$

I can keep going, but you get the picture! We are the ONLY Waterfowl Sanctuary in California. We are grateful for the press that the Balut Duckling Crisis brought to us, but with that comes awareness. More and more people want to relinquish ducks, geese, and other birds that they can no longer care for, that they found dumped on the side of the road, or any number of reasons. We never want to have to turn a bird in need of the Sanctuary away, and with your help, we will continue to do that--Always.
