Donate to Secure a Home for Kristen and Kids

Hi! My name is Kristen and I have 4 beautiful kids and a big old, fluffy puppy. I need some help getting on my feet in the midst of a messy and long divorce.

To keep a long story short, I am leaving an abusive relationship of 13 years and I need help doing so. Part of the abuse was financial. During this last year of filing for divorce and the ugly custody battle that followed, he made the decision to stop paying the mortgage on the house in order to keep the kids and I from living in it after the divorce was final. The house was foreclosed on this past month and we have less than 30-60 days to move. Since I was a stay at home mom for 10 years and not "allowed" to get a job until recently, I have nothing. No security deposit, no first month's rent, and because of the games he has been playing, I don't have child support or maintenance yet and won't have those until things progress. However, with the timing of the foreclosure and divorce court, everything is falling on top of each other.

The money raised here will go towards a security deposit, the first couple months rent, and household items as we are leaving with nothing. Local donations also really, greatly appreciated.
