Donate to Secure Jesse and Brenda's Future
Donation protected
An elderly couple, Jesse and Brenda Mounts, lost their home during the Great Recession/mortgage bubble and have been living in a travel trailer ever since. A family member will let them put a modular home on the family member’s property. They have been able to get power, water, and a septic system installed, so the property is ready for a foundation. Brenda and Jesse have been approved for a purchase loan, but it would not pay for the foundation since they don’t own the land. The foundation estimate is approximately $20,000, which they don’t have. So, they are stuck.
While all this has been going on, Jesse was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and most of his stomach and a portion of his esophagus were removed. He is slowly recovering. This has put a large drain on their funds, so they are seeking donations to help pay for the foundation. Once the foundation is in, they can proceed with the manufactured home purchase and have a place to live as he is battling stomach cancer. It is a worthy cause to help this elderly couple in need.
Update 9/30/24 Jesse came home just over a week ago after spending over 2 months recovering in the hospital. He is still not able to eat or drink anything by mouth but is looking very good. He is very thankful for everyone who has donated so far, but his journey is far from over.
