Donate to Strengthen Our Sisters' Mission

Dear Supporters,

On behalf of the staff and residents of Supporting Our Sisters, Inc., we thank you for your support throughout the past year. Because of your generosity, we provided housing to 113 individuals in our five residences. We have witnessed children graduate from kindergarten and high school, and their mothers become gainfully employed and self-sufficient.

In addition to providing a clean and safe environment for single women and women with children fleeing domestic violence, we were able to have needed repairs done and pay for them to remain housed as they strived toward self-sufficiency. We were able to do these things without funding from the State of New Jersey. However, to continue providing services to this underserved population, and keep single women and women with children safe from their abusers, we need assistance to bring the additional residences up to code according to State Standards for shelters.

We are seeking to reinstitute our in-house programs such as life skills workshops, financial literacy, job training skills, and many more. We seek to improve the quality of services we provide at our childcare center as well as increase attendance.

This is where we need your support. We need your monetary gifts to help us continue this work we have done in Passaic County since 1983 in meeting our initial fundraising campaign goal of $500,000. As a 501c3 organization, your donations of $250 and more are tax-exempt.
