Support a Community Stuck In Sudan

Hi my name is Elrashid and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Abeer who is, tragically, stuck in an active war-zone. I am posting the below message on Abeer’s behalf due to issues associated with connectivity and remittance of funds in her location.

Hey

My name is Abeer and I am a Sudanese girl who started my life after graduation and it was going good, until the war started in my country. Everything we built burned to the ground, my parents worked over 50 years to build our house and for us to have a proper life. Unfortunately we were displaced 8 times due to RSF Militias. As of now, we’ve ended up in one of the worst places in sudan right now, Northwest Kordofan, where there is a severe lack of everything. This includes food, medicines, water, materials for hygiene, etc. The most effected are the women and children.

It’s so humiliating to ask for donations when we were financially stable, but we have nothing, we have to start over for the fourth time, and each time we start we have to leave everything behind and seek safe shelter. Both of my parents suffer from chronic diseases + my mother and younger sister are both asthmatic. My mother will also require having a Cataract operation in the eye. There is no eye hospital here and there are only three doctors trying to take care of the whole of the community here.

The funds will be used to help me and my family (which includes 15 children, 2 babies, 10 women, and 5 elders with chronic conditions and in need of medical attention) escape to a safer place first and then hopefully outside of sudan. The rest of the money we will try to help people in need here as well by providing them with critical supplies such as food, clean water, medicine, etc.
