Support Deborah’s Fight Against Breast Cancer

To the family and friends of Deborah Wogan,

I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency to possibly help my nanny. Last year Deborah was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through a double mastectomy. Since being diagnosed with breast cancer she has experienced 2 stokes. This last time (last week) leaving her with bleeding in the brain. While she is bravely facing these battles, the journey ahead is challenging both emotionally and financially. She has been without transportation since her car has required a lot of repairs. She now solely relies on medical transportation daily to get her to and from appointments. Insurance is telling her she only has 1 more free ride available, so now getting to even more appointments due to her recent stroke will be even that much more challenging.

In addition to her own medical urgencies, she has an adult child who suffers from Asperger‘s/autism that she also cares for.

The Challenge: Breast cancer treatment involves numerous medical appointments, surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and ongoing care. The out-of-pocket costs for these treatments, coupled with everyday living expenses and transportation issues are becoming overwhelming. Additionally, she is no longer able to work, further straining her financial situation for her and her child.
