Donate to support Kamran and Amaya's recovery

Hello, my name is Amna Bhatti, Aunt of Kamran (13yrs), Amaya(11yrs) and Zain Bhatti (9yrs). I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my family.

On the 23rd of June 2023, both my nephews and my niece set off from Virginia to Florida with their mother. On the morning of the 24th of June 2023, at approximately 06:50 am, they had an accident that caused the vehicle to veer off the road, become airborne and flip numerous times before coming to a final halt. Both Amaya and Zain were ejected from the vehicle, which landed on top of Amaya and resulted in the immediate death of our youngest precious baby, Zain. News Article SUV goes airborne in fatal crash

Kamran and Amaya have thankfully survived but sustained severe injuries. Kamran, who suffered a lower lumbar fracture, has since been released from the hospital. However, he must wear a back brace that restricts his movements, limits his ability to conduct daily activities independently, and causes constant discomfort and pain.

Unfortunately, Amaya not only lost her little brother but also had to have her left arm amputated. She will require a prosthetic arm and further surgeries for her limbs.

The road to recovery will be long and difficult in which both Kamran and Amaya will require extensive physical therapy, counselling and rehabilitation.

Their father, Babur (my older brother) is struggling to come to terms with this tragedy while staying strong for his kids who are trying to cope with the loss of their brother and simultaneously must endure the physical and mental trauma caused by the accident.

Along with trying to find the strength to bear the loss of his son, my brother also bears the heavy financial responsibility associated with the accident.

Before this tragic incident, the three siblings were best friends, inseparable, and beams of sunlight who lit up everyone whose paths they crossed.

Kamran loves sports, especially surfing and skateboarding. Amaya is kind and considerate, loves to go to the Sunday farmers market and hopes to grow up to be a surgeon. Zain like his older brother loved sports as well, was funny, full of life and made everyone laugh. He also had a love for motorcycles like his dad. His loss has left an emptiness in all our lives.

At this time, on behalf of the Bhatti family, we would like to request contributions to help with Kamran and Amaya’s recovery. All donations received will support their treatment and ensure that Kamran and Amaya can continue to not only pursue their dreams but also those of their younger brother.
