Lebanon, a country with a rich history and vibrant culture, has faced immense challenges over the years. From 1975 to 1990, Lebanon was embroiled in a devastating civil war. This complex conflict involved multiple Lebanese factions and was further complicated by the involvement of external forces. As a tragic legacy of this conflict, the southern territory of Lebanon is still littered with hundreds of thousands of landmines, which pose an ongoing threat to the lives of its people.

The landmines have had a profound and lasting impact, with approximately 4,000 lives claimed over the years, and countless more individuals suffering severe injuries. Landmines continue to affect people even after the official end of the civil war in 1990. This data is based on information from organizations such as UNICEF and various humanitarian agencies.

Our Mission: Rebuilding Lives, One Step at a Time

In response to this pressing issue, we, a group of dedicated International Management students at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, have come together as a large international organization. Our mission is clear: to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Lebanese land mine victims by addressing their pressing needs. Through our comprehensive approach, we aim to provide support in three key areas:

1. Restoring Mobility and Dignity: We strive to supply prosthetic limbs, crutches, wheelchairs, and other essential medical support devices to those who have been affected by landmines. Our goal is to empower these survivors with the tools they need to regain their independence and lead fulfilling lives.

2. Ensuring a Safer Tomorrow: Education is a powerful tool in preventing further tragedies. We are committed to educating Lebanese children about the safety and warning signs of landmines. By raising awareness and providing essential knowledge, we hope to protect future generations from the devastating impact of these hidden dangers.

3. Empowering Resilience and Growth: We recognize the untapped potential among land mine victims who have entrepreneurial aspirations.
