Donate to Support Marisa's Mission and Cancer Patients
Tax deductible
Hello everyone! The time has come, Eagle and I will be cutting our mullets and donating our hair to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Our hair will go towards helping build wigs for children with hair loss. We would also like to host a fundraiser for a very impactful charity in our community that serves all of Massachusetts, Marisa’s Mission. Marisa’s Mission focuses on helping cancer patients and their families by reducing financial stress to support their health outcomes. For those that wish to donate, regardless of the amount, will be entered to win a Team signed Free Jacks jersey or a signed Canada Test Match jersey. We can’t thank our fans enough for the support you give us all season as well as our off field initiatives, this is what makes us the franchise we are! Thank you in advance for your support, team!
Marisa’s Story
Marisa grew up in Braintree, Massachusetts, and graduated from Assumption College in 2000. She was deeply involved in her community and dedicated to her family. Marisa served as the Director of National Sales at the Boston Convention Marketing Center, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. An extraordinary woman, Marisa made a significant impact in all aspects of her life.
In 2013 at the age of 35, Marisa was diagnosed with stage IV, triple-positive breast cancer. Although being diagnosed with an incurable disease, Marisa persevered and continued to live life with zest and enthusiasm. Her unwavering strength shined brightly through her radiant smile and wonderful personality. Marisa was a true warrior who fought her battle with grace, integrity, and humility. Marisa’s eternal optimism was an inspiration to many people, including others affected by the ramifications of a cancer diagnosis.
Since her passing in 2016, Marisa’s Mission has continued Marisa’s legacy by motivating and assisting families affected by the numerous challenges of cancer.
Marisa was loved by all and inspired the community throughout her life including her battle with cancer. Marisa’s lasting impression inspired a movement to support patients diagnosed with cancer to ease their stress and lessen their financial burden so they can focus on what matters most: their health and their family.
