Donate to Support Neurodiversity Through Pickleball

The Pickleball International Committee (PIC), a nonprofit incorporation, is a world governing body for pickleball. PIC recognizes the critical importance of neurodiversity and is launching a program to provide support to neurodivergents (Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, OCD, dyspraxia, Tourette syndrome, Down syndrome, TBI, dementia, Parkinson's disease among others). PIC is working with the International Neurodiversity Alliance on this program. Terry Cecil is CEO of both organizations. Pickleball is thought to be one of the healthiest exercises a person can do and research has shown it can extend your life. Exercise enhances the neural connections in your brain and can provide beneficial impact for neurodivergents. Exercise through pickleball can also lower risk of dementia. It is estimated that 1 out of 7 people on the planet are neurodivergent and we believe that's a conservative number. PIC wants to provide worldwide support via lessons (important for hand-eye coordination, social integration and other valuable impacts), fund research, build awareness on the tremendous importance of the neurodivergent community and other projects to support neurodivergents through the impact of pickleball. Your donations will also help with lessons for neurodivergents children without the financial burden on these families. This GoFundMe project also provides non-pickleball players an opportunity to support this important cause through crowdsourcing as we build a strong, supportive community. Thank you for your support!
