In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu 'alaykum dear friends and supporters,
I am writing to you today on behalf of a group of students who are pursuing their studies in traditional Islamic sciences at the Mahdara of Nabbaghiyya in Mauritania. These students have chosen to dedicate their lives to learning about Islam and serving their communities, but they face many challenges along the way.
The students in Mauritania face an even greater challenge than usual, as they must live and study in the harsh conditions of the hot Saharan climate. Despite this, they remain steadfast in their pursuit of sacred knowledge and their desire to serve and preserve the deen.
There are currently 700 students at the Mahdara. Many of these students come with very little and cannot afford their basic living expenses. They also face the challenge of leaving behind their families, friends, and communities to pursue their studies in an unfamiliar environment. It is up to the Mahdara to provide for the students and to especially make sure they are properly fed.
This is where we need your help. By donating to our GoFundMe campaign, you can help these students continue to seek 'ilm and contribute to the spread of sacred knowledge. Your support will help cover the cost of tuition, books, meals, and other living expenses, allowing these students to focus on their studies and apply themselves to the fullest.
Your donation will also provide these students with the emotional support they need to continue on their journey. Dedicating their lives to the studying of deen is a great achievement, but not an easy feat. Knowing that there are people who believe in them for the sake of Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) can make all the difference.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these students and contribute to the preservation of the deen. Thank you for your generosity and support.
