Donate to support the Indigenous Boruca Peoples

Hi, my name is Laura Natter and I am fundraising to purchase a computer for a community centre in the Indigenous Boruca community.
I am a first year Fashion Arts student at Seneca College. This summer I visited Costa Rica through my school to study ethical and sustainable textiles. We stayed with the Indigenous Boruca People where we learned about the history of their culture and their art techniques (mask painting, weaving, yarn spinning and creating natural dyes).
Through my assignment I had the privilege of interviewing Lourdes Frasser Rojas, who created a local community centre so that single moms could support their family through creating art. She taught me about the struggles they've encountered with racism from Costa Rican people and the government. This conversation inspired me to find out the best way I can support her community. She shared with me that the community centre needs a computer, so I decided to fundraise to purchase one for them. I also plan on helping them to create a website to spread the word about their culture and promote their products. Any extra money will go towards fees for the website.
Thanks for sharing and donating. <3
